Facebook has created a Messenger app just for kids. Facebook has declared that it is going to launch a messaging app that will be just for the kids. Facebook confirmed that the era of tin cans with the strings and walkie-talkies is behind us. It is called the Messenger Kids and you can download it for iphone and ipad.
When parents will download the Messenger Kids app, they would be asked to authenticate the Messenger Kids with their Facebook account.
After this they need to make a user within that Messenger Kids app which uses the full name of their children. Not a single detail entered into the Messenger Kids app would be searchable by the public and it is confirmed by the Facebook that it is entirely ad-free app.
The parental control does not stop here. It will be up to the parents to decide who their child is able to connect with because the contacts are added to the Facebook itself.
If, for instance, a child wishes to message his or her friend from the school it will be under the control of the parents to make friend one another on the Facebook as well as link their child’s Messenger account. Connections need to be agreed mutually before the children may start talking to each another.
If you or any of your family members you are friends with the Facebook wishes to send a message to your kid, it is possible to do so via the ordinary Facebook Messenger app.
Kids will have a few controls over their Messenger Kids account. They will be able to report as well as block some users (though their parents would get one notification when the kids report or block someone). Facebook has told that it now has the dedicated Messenger Kids team who will look these reports.
