HTC 10: HTC Tipped To Discard One M Moniker

HTC

The Taiwanese mobile devices manufacturer, HTC, has trailed a very long way from just calling the HTC’s the next generation flagship to a much more recognizable and logical One M10. With its weird-sounding perfume filed under – we should call the codenames weird anyway – it has turned out that HTC Company might finally be looking for a way to pull a Sony.

Just after saying goodbye to the Xperia Z family that was perennially troubled, Even Blass (who is a very trustworthy tech insider), aka @evleaks, has made the claims that we might be bidding farewell to the Taiwanese Company’s HTC One M lineup not too long from now. This is probably the One roster as a whole. Although the A9 might still get a consequence in this fall.

The most believable market name currently is 10, as far as One M9’s follow-up is concerned. This will back the memories of the old HTC 10, which was simpler. It is a time when One M7 was barely known as the HTC One. It is since then that the financially struggling OEM greately diluted the One brand, that was once respected. Although, leaping straight to 10 appears like a very big strategic mistake, mainly because this raises attention to the many high-end and middle-end One derivations that were released in the recent years.

It doesn’t go without mentioning that such a move might end up sparking unrealistic hopes for the enthusiasts of Windows 10 Mobile. This is no doubt running Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the package. In any case, if the HTC 10 comes up with profound innovation to the market at a price that is fairly reasonable, it might end up being branded as the HTC 666. Unluckily, this is the huge problem. The design of this gadget does not look special in any angle. Furthermore, its features might end up falling short of LG G5’s or Galaxy S7 capabilities.

It is wise to note that with the release of this device, there is no any hope for the Windows 10 Mobile enthusiasts. Moreover, the latest leaked images of the device offers some screenshots that conform the name of the HTC 10. Whether the device will turn great or not still depends with its unknown features and market prices. In the meantime, we can just settle down and wait until the Taiwanese Company has unveiled the same.
