Pixel C and Nexus player will get the latest version of Google mobile OS which is Android 7.1.2 nougat. The rumored date for the update in Pixel C and Nexus player was April 3 but it came before that date.
Now Android 7.1.2 Nougat is available in the market and in some time, It will come to many devices. Google had already confirmed that this update would come to certain Nexus and Pixel devices including Nexus 5x, Nexus 6p, Pixel and Pixel XL. Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 will not receive the update of this operating system because these devices are not compatible with this OS.
The thing which we don’t like about Google is that they slowly give the update of latest OS. The beta version of this latest mobile operating system was released two months back.
Pixel C owners are getting Android 7.1.2 Nougat update with the April security update which totally comes with a pack of size 340 MB. As this package is distributing via over the air update, so some of the Pixel C and other compatible Nexus and Pixel devices user have to wait for some days for this update.

The answer to this question is simple that these two devices are more compatible with this update and can do much better with this update than other phones.

As Android 7.1.2 Nougat has rolled out in the market. So we are assuming that other smartphone users will get this update soon.
