BlackBerry brings up a more secure version of the Samsung Galaxy S7

BlackBerry Samsung Galaxy S

Secusmart, the subordinate of BlackBerry who acquires the smartphone of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, will roll out an edition of the Secu security program compatible with the Samsung Electronics’ Knox platform at the end of the year 2017. This shows that these firms are searching for the phone which offers government level security and will purchase Samsung Galaxy S7 sooner or later, rather S8 than the BlackBerry OS phones like the one Merkel owns.

Along with this the encrypted communication and data storage on the device is done on the new Secu system and will also protect the voice calls via SNS standard by the German’s Government Office for Information Security. The organizational app traffic has passed through a VPN, while the data from the private apps can pass straight to the internet. The encrypted voice calls go via a different pathway, not through VPN.

When it comes to the sale, most probably around July, an S7 Secu for Samsung Knox will be purchased at the cost of 199 euros. This is the same cost as the present BlackBerry version 10 costs and includes a micro SD card along with the phone. Secu is presenting the new mechanism at its stand at the Cebit trade which is shown in Hanover, in Germany last week. This is not Secu’s first coordination with Samsung, and in future, the users of Secu for Samsung Knox will observe the option of app manager by their employer put on with the little padlock. As these apps are released, they will ask for the PIN to be authenticated for use with the help of encryption keys in micro SD card. Without this, none of the apps can be accessed nor the data can be associated with them.

For other famous apps like Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, etc. can be installed according to the employer’s security policy. Few firms, like German federation, will permit this only for restricted whitelists, while others may permit full access to the Google play Store. The monitoring is imposed by the firm’s MDM and MAM servers, usually BES 12 and EASE respectively. Even if the user unintentionally downloads or installs any of a malicious app or file which has supposedly penetrated into the Google Play Store, then the data in work based apps will remain protected securely still without any loss or infection by the extremal malwares.
