Stucking with wires during charging your smartphone is a big headache. That’s why Smartphone companies are moving toward the tech of Wireless charging. But a person can be stuck in wires for charging if it is for the very short interval of time. This is what Meizu did.

Meizu announced the Fast charging tech in the MWC 2017 known as Super mCharge which will charge your phone to 100 percent in 20 minutes.

What is this Meizu technology?

The Super mCharge based on the principle of Charge Pump. You can get the output of half of the voltage by applying 2 groups of conversion circuits. This principle increases charging efficiency from 9 percent to 98 percent without harming the device.

You don’t have to worry about the heating of phone. We noticed that the temperature of the device will not increase than 39°C or 102.2°F.

This fast charge technology comes with very less amount of heat dissipation and current. The data cable provided is capable of supporting 160W which is nice for safety. Maximum power in charging connector is 55W for charging device in 20 minutes. During the demo of this technology, Meizu took a battery of 3000 mAh and the following result occurred

  • 30 percent in 5 minutes.
  • 60 percent in 10 minutes.
  • 85 percent in 15 minutes
  • fully charged in 20 minutes.

It is clear that it will take more time if the smartphone has battery more than 3000 mAh.

It is not the first time

Meizu is not the first smartphone company who provide the fast charging solution. Last year Oppo announced its Super VOOC technology which can charge 2500 mAh battery in 15 minutes.

Before Meizu, Qualcomm’s Quick charge 3.0 was a good option of fast charging which can charge smartphone from 0-80 percent in 35 minutes. It means Meizu mCharge is much quicker and reliable than the existing technology.

Forget about Power Banks

It is not announced yet that when will Meizu put this technology in its smartphone. But it is confirmed that this is a big step toward future technology of smartphones. We are waiting for this technology because if this comes then we all get out of the problems of heavy Power banks which we have to carry during travel.
