As we all know that recently a Chinese company known as TCL bought the right to produce smartphones under the Blackberry brand name. The company, however, revealed new smartphone at CES known as the Blackberry DTEK 70 and prepare to release the smartphone in the first quarter of 2017.

With Blackberry lovers looking forward to what the company is to offer, this article is therefore written to show you some of the features that are rumored to be in blackberry DTEK 70.

Display

The Blackberry DTEK 70 also known as Mercury is expected to have a 4.5 inches curved screen with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels and it is to be an IPS LCD capacitive screen type. However, unlike the traditional blackberries that do have a square screen, this model is rumored to feature the popular rectangular touch screen. According to report gathered by Venture Beat, the company has planned to adopt the normal 3:2 display used on smartphones instead of the traditional 16:9 ratio display.

Design

Although we do not know much about the features of Blackberry DTEK 70 but we are sure (according to the photos released) that the phone will contain the traditional QWERTY keyboard like the previous editions but it will be more upgraded than before. However, the DTEK 70 will now have metal frets in between the rows of keys and the keys are carved out to make typing easy and comfortable. According to Steve Cistulli, President of TCL, who confirmed that the spacebar will serve as the Home button and as a fingerprint scanner.

OS and performance

According to rumors from Venture beat, the smartphone is expected to run on a snapdragon 821 Quad-Core processor with a 3GB of RAM and a 32GB inbuilt memory. It is also rumored to be the first blackberry mobile to run the latest Google OS (Android 7.0 Nougat).

Battery life and Media

The smartphone is said to feature a 3400mAh battery with a type-C Powered USB port for fast charging. However, there is no news yet if the smartphone will support Quick Charge or not. In terms of the Phone camera, we are told to expect an 18MP camera at the back and an 8MP front camera, which has been the best so far on Blackberry smartphones.

Release date and Price

Looking at the specs of the smartphone it is estimated to cost around 580 pounds. According to the latest tweet shared by TCL, the device is expected to be announced on February 25. However, by then we will be able to tell you more about the specs, Price and the release date of the smartphone.
