Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 seems to be the new rage for flagship smartphones. Almost all of the flagship phones that have released so far in 2016 or those that are going to come out soon have it inside them. It doesn’t come as a surprise because the Snapdragon 820 has been termed as the most powerful chipset on the planet right now.
The performance of the chipset has surpassed that of all the others out there right now. Even the single core performance of the Snapdragon 820 is nearly as good as Apple’s A9. Lenovo is revamping their smartphones business and they are going to offer the Moto phones in the premium range. This would definitely mean an increase in the prices of the Moto phones. A few leaks of the new Moto X has surfaced online. Take a look at what Motorola has in store for us.
For starters, none of the specifications of the phone have been revealed as of now. But rumor mills are suggesting nothing less than the Snapdragon 820 and a massive 4 GB of RAM. Moto X (2016) will also come with the latest version of Android. Some rumors also suggest that the phone may come with Android N. The final version of Android N is due to come out by August or September and Motorola will be one of the first phone makers to provide the update.
Leaked photos of the Moto X show a really big camera module along with the Moto logo. The camera module stands out from the rear and it remains to be seen whether the final design of the phone will have the same bump. The camera module also has dual-LED flash right under it. The speaker vents are shown at the rear side too. No fingerprint scanner is present on the rear side but it will be mostly placed on the home screen button. Leaks of the new Moto G has the fingerprint scanner on the front side and the Moto X will surely carry over this design change.
The leaked image also shows three hardware buttons on the side, which will be the volume rocker and the power button. Expectations are sky high for the Moto X (2016) and it remains to be seen whether the phone will be priced as high as the previous generation of the phone or not. But going by the rumored specs, it will be tough competition for the current flagships.
