ZTE is trying really hard to stand out from the Chinese competitors and they are doing a really great job. Their phones have all been quite successful in the past few years. Their mid-ranger phones and flagship phones as part of the Nubia and Axon series have had a great run. 2016 is going to be a really huge year for ZTE as they are going ahead with the launch of a lot of smartphones in a short span of time. Recently, their flagship, dubbed the Axon 2, had passed Chinese certification, TENAA. Now they are promos of another flagship from ZTE, called the Nubia X8. And there is something really interesting about this phone.
The leaked images of the phone indicate a really premium looking device. It is completely made of metal, as expected of a flagship and will come in three variants. They also have their red iconic home button on the Nubia X8. All three phones should come with Android Marshmallow with a possible update to Android N. The phone supposedly has a huge 6-inch display and the three variants come in three different display configurations. There is no information about the camera, but going by ZTE’s previous phones, it would definitely be a great one. There is also a fingerprint scanner just below the camera. Below is a small roundup of the three variants and their specifications.
Nubia X8’s base variant comes with Snapdragon 820, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage and a Full HD display. It doesn’t have an expansion slot for increasing storage. The middle variant comes with the same Snapdragon 820 chipset, along with 4GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage and a QHD display. The storage can be further expanded up to 64 GB via microSD. The flagship variant of the Nubia X8 is the true definition of a flagship. There is no other phone in the market right now to compete against it.
The Nubia X8’s top variant comes with the Snapdragon 823 chipset along with a whopping 6GB of RAM. The performance will be buttery smooth on this device that has an Ultra HD display and 128GB of internal storage. What’s more? The storage can be further expanded up to a humongous 256GB. If all this hasn’t lured you into buying this device, God knows what will! The device is expected to be announced in a few weeks as the number of leaks are growing.
