New Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 and J5 2016 Photos

Galaxy J and Galaxy J

Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016) have been released as the successors of the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 all of which were launched last summer. These smartphones integrate into them such features as the front-facing cameras with LED flashes. Although Samsung has not announced these devices, China Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center approved these devices and helped us to have a look at them.

It is somehow difficult to differentiate between the Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (1016). Indeed, they look pretty much the same. There are distinct features which can help you easily differentiate them. One feature that can help you do this is the size of the screen. Galaxy J7 is larger with a 5.5-inch 1080p display. On the other hand, Galaxy J5 is a 5.2 –inch 720p display device. It can be noted that these new handsets are a tad more elegant as compared to their previous year’s J5 and J7. However, they are still made out of plastic.

The Galaxy J7 (2016) has two versions: SM-J7108 and SM-J7109. While SM-J7108 is powered by a 1.6 GHz Octa-core processor, the SM-J7109 is powered by an unknown Octa-core processor with four cores set at 1.5 GHz and other four cores set at 1.2 GHz. In addition, the new J7 features LTE, 3 GB of RAM, 5 MP, a 13MP rear camera, and 16GB   internal memory.

Galaxy J5 (2016) on the other hand has a smaller screen with a lower pixel resolution featuring a 13MP and 5MP of the camera, a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM with 16GB of expandable storage space.

A similarity between the two is noted as they seem to have a laser auto focus for their rear cameras. Photos taken from these two devices can be used as a suggestion that the two devices are similar in this way. If this is the case, then Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016)  will be the first smartphone from Samsung to feature the autofocus technology which was first introduced in the LG G3 and later on spread to other handsets.

Unfortunately these two devices, that is, Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016) are still running Android 5.1 Lollipop. There are predictions that they will be released with Android 6.0 Marshmallow whenever Samsung will decide on launching them.
